The problem with our political parties, I think...

...is that they have already implemented their greatest positive ideas in past decades.

So much so that they no longer have much new to offer that truly inspires the French.

Because all they have left to do today...

...is to perpetuate what has already been built by their predecessors.

But as things get complicated and they run out of ideas...

...they are tempted to undo beauty and gentleness as if it were non-essential...

...or to designate scapegoats in order to divert the attention.
